About Indigitek

Founded in 2015, Indigitek is a not-for-profit organisation (DGR status) that aims to increase the participation and success of Indigenous people in the tech industry.

We’re made up of a community of passionate Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people who are continuing a proud tradition of 85,000 years of innovation and entrepreneurship in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics.

Liam Ridgeway - Co-FOUNDER

Liam is a proud descendant of the Gumbaynggirr people of Nambucca Heads in Northern New South Wales and the Wakka Wakka people of Southern Queensland.

Liam is the co-founder of Ngakkan Nyaagu (NGNY) an Aboriginal owned digital agency, Cofounder of Indigitek an Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander community of people in Tech and founder of Indigenous Robotics Workshop.

Kieran is a Gurindji, Pertame Arrernte, Worimi man based in Sydney, NSW.

Kieran is passionate about helping Australian businesses, increase productivity and efficiency through technological innovation and implementation.

CELESTE CARNEGIE - MANAGER, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS

Celeste is a Birrigubba and South Sea Islander Woman from Far North Queensland  who has been at the forefront of STEAM education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth.

She is passionate about creating opportunities surrounding digital technologies and creative solutions in the support of communities. Celeste endeavours to champion the ideas and build platforms for First Nations people everywhere.

MARK WELLS - advisor

Business leader and investor with diverse experience. Held CEO, CCO, CTO and Non-Executive Director roles with specialities in corporate development, M&A, fundraising and growth strategies.

JOHN CHAMBERS - ADVISOR

John has worked in technology and innovation with large organisations for over 20 years. His day job is Managing Partner of IE, Australia's largest independent digital and innovation studio. He is also the founder of Moorup, a circular economy device company, and sits on the board of Smiling Mind, which brings mindfulness and resilience to the youth of Australia. He is passionate about supporting the development of employment pipelines in the technology for First Nations people.
